Erick's Baptism San Luis
This Saturday, we will have our very first baptism, Elder Park and I, as a companionship. Erick will be getting baptized this Saturday and his grandpa will be have the honor of baptizing him. On Sunday, he will be confirmed a member. It has been really fun to teach him and it has been great to see the changes that have come in his life as he as grown in the gospel. His grandma and grandpa, who are both members, have started coming back to church and have been reactivated. It is true that the gospel blesses families and will change your life and the lives of those in your circle of influence as you live the principles. of the gospel.

San Luis
"We are station in San Luis, which is a great town. We have the nicest apartment in the whole mission, which makes me question what everyone else is living in, ha ha! We live right in the middle of downtown, which is nice because everything is close. We share the apartment with the zone leaders and Elder Park is a District Leader, so I basically room with the leaders of the area. We live in the Stake Ward so we have one of the biggest wards in the whole mission. About 150 people come every week as compared to 20 to 30 for the rest of the mission. We also have one of the nicest chapels that I have ever seen! This church rivals the ones we have in Utah. They have video equipment and screens that drop down in the sacrament meeting room and everything. It is truly a great ward."
There At Last...
"After the flight, Pres. Avila took us to his house and we had dinner which was also delicious. We then went to the mission home and spent the night. In the morning we waited in lines for about 6 hours to get some more papers signed so that we can get our Argentine social security card, which we will get in about 16 months. I guess all governments in the world work on the same speed...slow and slower. Next we had lunch at the mission home and were introduced to our new companions. My new companion is Elder Park. He is from Arizona and is wonderful to work with."
Manna from Heaven
"After he dropped us off at 11:00 AM, he then told us that we were going to leave for the airport at 3:00 PM, so being missionaries we decided to do a session at the temple. It was truly magnificent to do a session in Spanish. True, I didn't catch as much, but I could definitely feel the spirit of that place. It is a beautiful temple and the Celestial Room is similar to the one in Provo, beautiful yet simple. It was also weird to see the endowment rooms that could only hold about 30 or so people. I have gotten used to the temples in Utah that could hold 3 to 4 times that much, but it made the session all the more personal."
Are We There Yet?
As you have guessed, I have arrived safely. I am so tired of traveling and I am thankful that I get to stay in one place finally for a while. Well after the Dalls/Ft. Worth Airport we had our 10.5 hour flight to Buenos Aires and after we got our luggage we went to the main terminal to wait for our contact, but when we got there we couldn´t find him and we got worried. After looking around for an hour or so, we found the guy showed up and took us off the the Hostel at the Temple just outside of Buenos Aires.
